Healthcare professionals are required to provide psychological support to their parents, provide them with all information about Down Syndrome, brochures, flyers, and educate and prepare them for the child's arrival. What parents are educating earlier, will be saved and more productive for the arrival of a child with DS. Before and after childbirth, it is of great importance psychological support for mother and family. If psychological support is absent, mothers often experience some of the postpartum psychiatric disorders. Health education and expertise today should be imperative in healthcare institutions. Knowing and educating newborns with DS offers a higher quality of life in relation to the past. Because of hypotonia, the orofacial musculatory infant has difficulty with breastfeeding that needs to be perceived in time and to include the diet if it doesn`t gain weight.
