Primary dysmenorrhea is today one of the most common gynecological conditions that appears in the population of young women in reproductive age. Iti s characterized primary with pain that affects suprapubic region and lower parts of back and the pain is mostly described as cramping, stabbing and intensive. Because of Its frequency, often appears to be huge problem for women when talking about ability to manage different daily tasks. There are variety of approaches that depends on intensity of the pain, personal preferences of patients and availability of treatment methods. Generally, they can be divided into pharmacological and non-pharmacological. This research final thesis was made on topic “Usage of non-steroidal anti- inflammatory drugs in female students with primary dysmenprrhea”. The research was conducted on population of female students at Faculty of health studies in Rijeka and students who were included was those who were on first, second and third years of regular and part-time study. Research included population of 100 female student, between 18 and 40 age, who was given online anonymous questionnaire which results was used to get the data for this research. Results are in accordance with the initially hypothesis who predicted that primary dysmenorrhea has significantly influence on ability to manage different student tasks and that most common used treatment methods are pharmacological, especially non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Research also confirmed efficiency and compatibility of used treatment methods with Up-to-date algorithm of treatment. Initially hypothesis of coherence between the high price level and efficiency of the drug this research completely deny.
