Ostali rezultati upućuju kako nema statistički značajne razlike u broju obroka, učestalosti konzumacije voća i povrća, učestalosti konzumacije ˝brze hrane˝ te količini konzumiranih slatkiša.
Zaključak: Učenici i studenti zdravstvenih usmjerenja, zbog dugotrajnog učenja i izučavanja zdravstvene struke te sjedilačkog načina života, često imaju nepravilne obrasce prehrane.
Abstract (english) Introduction: The term nutrition refers to the intake of nutrients into the digestive system of an organism for survival and physiological functioning. Proper nutrition should consist of macronutrients, which the body needs to a greater extent for energy generation and survival, and micronutrients, which the body needs to a lesser extent. The transition from high school to college often results in drastic changes in the environment, and such changes affect behaviors related to nutrition and health.
Research goal: The general aim of this research is to examine whether there is a difference in eating habits between high school students and college student sin health worker education. The specific objectives are to examine the difference in the number of meals, the difference in the frequency of fruit and vegetable consumption in one week, the difference in the amount of fast food consumed on a weekly basis, and the difference in the amount of sweets consumed on a weekly basis between high school students and college students of health majors.
Materials and methods: 70 subjects took part in the research, 30 of which were students of the medical high school and 40 were students of the graduate study of physiotherapy between the ages of 18 and 25. The same questionnaire consisting of 25 questions focused on eating habits was used to collect data in both groups. The obtained data were processed using the IBM SPSS program (v.26).
Results: Respondents who have at least three meals a day, at least one of which consists of fruit or vegetables, are defined as respondents who have proper eating habits. The results show that college students have significantly more regular eating habits compared to high school students with regard to the general goal of the research. Other results indicate that there is no statistically significant difference in the number of meals, the frequency of consumption of fruits and vegetables, the frequency of consumption of ''fast foods'' and the amount of sweets consumed.
Conclusion: High school and college students of health courses, due to long-term studying and training of the health profession as well as sedentary lifestyle, often have irregular eating patterns. Understanding the eating habits of young children is important for planning effective intervention strategies within institutions such as schools and colleges.
