Introduction and research objectives: Quality hospital care can have a significant impact on various aspects of maternal and child health and well-being. This includes communication with medical staff, availability and access to information, support during childbirth, providing emotional support, pain management, safety procedures and interventions, respecting the wishes and preferences of the birth mother, as well as the physical environment and comfort of the hospital stay. For the preparation of this paper, a survey was conducted on the satisfaction of mothers with perinatal care at the Karlovac General Hospital with the a imofassessing the satisfaction of the overall care. Materials and methods: The research was conducted during April and May 2023, on a sample of n=138 respondents on the day of discharge from the hospital through a questionnaire created for the purposes of the research. The questionnaire contains four sociodemographic characteristics, two questions about childbirth and the duration of hospital treatment, and 20 questions about satisfaction with hospital care, to which the respondent answers by circling the selected level of satisfaction on a five-point scale. Satisfaction refers to the stay in the delivery room, the stay in the maternity hospital, accommodation and food, and several general (final) ratings. The methods used to create the paper are descriptive methods and inferential methods. Results and conclusion: The lowest average scoreis 3.28 for the quality of nutrition, while the highest averages coreis 4.31 for the midwives' personal qualities. In total, as many as 79% of the respondents received very good and excellent ratings, which indicates the high quality of care of midwives and mothers in labor at the Karlovac General Hospital in their opinion. The respondents are satisfied with the overall quality of care in OB Karlovac. Respondents are satisfied with the relationship of midwives and nurses, but doctors in the delivery room and on the ward.
