Background: lower extremity injuries and low back injuries have been the most described injuries in Synchronized Skating. Anthropometric measurements are being used to enhance the rehabilitation process. Along with evolution of information communication technology, new digital anthropological methods have been developed. The aim of this study was to compare standard methods with the new digital method of anthropological measurements. Subjects and methods: The study included a total of 35 synchronized skaters, 17 junior and 18 senior team members. All of the skaters are members of the Croatian national team. The first part of the study included a short questionnaire with general and demographic indicators. The second part was implementation of measurement according to the measurement protocol. Each respondent underwent the measurement twice through standard method and was scanned twice with BodyRecog programmatic support (application). The measurement was conducted in the same area at the same time interval. Results: The study was conducted on a sample of 35 synchronized skaters, mean age 17 (13-26) years. The average height of the skater is 168 cm (C = 163.6 to 171.7), while the average weight is 59 kg (M = 58.20). Validation of the standard method of anthropometric measurements and new BodyRecog method resulted in better and more precise results of the standard measurement method. However, some measures, such as the scope of the thorax, were precisely measured by 3D digital solutions. Conclusion: Systematic research and daily improvement of systems in new applications are required in the near future. Therefore, new measurement systems could still replace the standard anthropometric instruments, such as measuring tape.
