Abstract
Ovaj rad istražuje učinke planinarenja na psihofizičko zdravlje. Cilj istraživanja bio je ispitati povezanost učestalosti planinarenja s razinom stresa i kvalitetom života kod planinara u Hrvatskoj. Korišteni su online upitnici koji su obuhvaćali demografske podatke, učestalost planinarenja, razinu stresa mjerenu DASS-21 skalom i kvalitetu života procijenjenu SF-12 upitnikom. Sudjelovalo je 227 ispitanika različite dobi i spola. Rezultati su pokazali značajnu negativnu korelaciju između učestalosti planinarenja i razine stresa, što sugerira da češće planinarenje smanjuje stres. Nije pronađena značajna povezanost između učestalosti planinarenja i kvalitete života, kao niti razlika u kvaliteti života između muškaraca i žena. Ovi nalazi podržavaju tezu da planinarenje ima pozitivan učinak na mentalno zdravlje, osobito u smanjenju stresa te da jednako doprinosi kvaliteti života oba spola.
Abstract (english)
This study investigates the effects of hiking on psychophysical health. The research aimed to examine the relationship between the frequency of hiking, stress levels, and quality of life among hikers in Croatia. Online questionnaires were used to collect demographic data, hiking frequency, stress levels measured by the DASS-21 scale, and quality of life assessed by the SF-12 questionnaire. A total of 227 participants of various ages and genders participated in the study. The results showed a significant negative correlation between the frequency of hiking and stress levels, suggesting that more frequent hiking reduces stress. No significant association was found between hiking frequency and quality of life, nor were there differences in quality of life between men and women. These findings support the thesis that hiking has a positive effect on mental health, particularly in reducing stress, and contributes equally to the quality of life for both genders.
