Abstract CILJ ISTRAŽIVANJA: Istražiti učinkovitost samog programa terapijskog vježbanja unutar
multidisciplinarnog pristupa problema kardiovaskularnih bolesnika u sklopu kardiovaskularne
rehabilitacije
bolesnica) i 10% muškaraca (3 bolesnika).
Abstract (english) RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: Explore the effectiveness of therapeutic exercise within the
multidisciplinary approach to cardiovascular patients under the cardiovascular rehabilitation
program
METHODS: The study group consisted of 30 patients from IDZ Pula, 10 of whom had
already survived some of the cardiovascular events, and 20 that trying to prevent them. The
subjects originally completed a cardiovascular risk survey by which data was collected to
calculate the total cardiovascular risk from the SCORE table. In addition to the survey,
subjects were subjected to a 6-minute walk test at the beginning, after 24 training sessions (2
months) and after 36 training sessions (3 months). For the success of therapeutic exercise the
distance that the patients walked during the 6-minute test, the functional capacity expressed in
MET and the division into NYHA groups were observed. The obtained test values were
recorded in the data entry formulas and then analyzed using Microsoft Office Excel.
RESULTS: 30 patients were involved in this study, of which 90% were women (27 patients)
and 10% of men (3 patients). In relationship to age, 6.67% of patients were under 40, 90% of
patients were between 41 and 64, 3.33% of patients were over 64. Elevated values of systolic
blood pressure were observed by 10% of patients (3 patients), while elevated values of
diastolic blood pressure were present in 3.33% of patients (1 patient). The functional capacity
of the patient was on average higher by 2.5 MET at the end of the rehabilitation program.
After the completed rehabilitation program there was an increase in the number of patients in
the I NYHA group by 216.67%, a decrease in the number of patients in the II NYHA group
by 9.09%, and a decrease in the number of patients in the III NYHA group by 92.31%. The
estimated distance that the patients walked at the end of the rehabilitation program compared
to the beginning was on average higher by 0.187 km. At the end of the rehabilitation program,
weight loss was reduced by 5 kg and body mass index decreased by 1.32 kg / m2.
CONCLUSION: The growing importance of cardiovascular disease prevention,
rehabilitation of cardiovascular patients involving therapeutic exercise will be of increasing
importance in overall care and prevention of morbidity and mortality from cardiovascular
diseases as well as in improving the quality of life and reducing the cost of treatment.
