Alcoholism is one of the most frequent health problems which causes serious physical, social and mental consequences. The main goal of this research is to establish level of satisfaction with the treatment of alcohol addiction in the daily hospital and the effect of that treatment on the level of satisfaction with the quality of life. In the focus of this research were categories of family relations, mental and general health and the overall quality of life. The subjects were 60 adult patients of the daily hospital at the Department of Psychological Medicine, Clinical Hospital Center Rijeka, who are also alcohol addicts. Results showed us that two thirds of the analyzed sample are satisfied with the treatment in the daily hospital. Number of dissatisfied in the analyzed sample is statistically irrelevant. Analysis of the relevant categories establishes an increase in the level of satisfaction with the quality of life in all categories that are analyzed. Results of this research confirmed the importance of the daily hospital in the rehabilitation of the alcohol addicts, and the importance of communication between expert medical staff and the closest people to the addicted patient in successful realization of the therapeutic protocols. The findings of this research are relevant in the evaluation of the therapeutic protocols, but also in the confirmation that multimodal approach to the rehabilitation of the alcohol addicts gives the best possible results.
