Physiotherapists encounter ethical issues in their daily work. Accordingly, knowledge and skills are required to deal with them. Through their education, they encounter the Code of Physiotherapy Ethics and Deontology adopted by the Croatian Chamber of Physiotherapists. The Code defines rules of conduct and duties of the physical therapist during the daily work. It implies a professional attitude and conduct in accordance with ethical principles inside and outside the profession, towards patients, their colleagues. Respondents to the online questionnaire were full-time physiotherapists within the Republic of Croatia. A total of 254 physiotherapists participated in the study. The survey consisted of 32 questions. The first 4 questions related to general information related to the respondent while the remaining 28 questions related to ethics in the profession. The e-form survey was active from April 19, 2019 to May 30, 2019. The aim of the paper was to show whether physiotherapists act ethically in addressing such challenges, whether they are familiar with the Code of Physiotherapy Ethics and Deontology. The next objective was to examine whether there are too many patients in daily work that ultimately result in poor treatment and insufficient commitment to the patient, and whether physiotherapists experience the phenomenon of burnout in such conditions. The results of the survey showed that physiotherapists in majority of the work are familiar with and deal with the Code of Physiotherapist Ethics and Deonotology. A smaller percentage, however, shows that they are not familiar with the code, not everyone complies with the rules, and then professionalism in their workplace is questioned. A large number of respondents confirm that they have encountered the phenomenon of combustion and that they have not taken measures to solve this problem. Physiotherapists also confirm that they work with too many patients in their day-to-day work, and that they cannot provide quality care for each individual. Ethical workshops in physiotherapists, as well as practical ones, may be the solution to the problem. Adopting the use of measuring instruments to help you identify problems can be a good solution in your daily work. Any other treatment causes injury to the profession and calls into question the professionalism of the individual. The number of patients must be strictly determined in order for each person to receive the same quality and proper service.
