Abstract
Pristalice komplementarne i alternativne medicine (KAM) tvrde da takvi tretmani mogu biti korisni s velikim učinkom pored, a ponekad i zamijeniti konvencionalnu medicinu, takve pretpostavke izazvale su oštro protivljenje onih koji zagovaraju pristupe zasnovane na dokazima učinkovitosti liječenja. Pacijenti žele znati i biti aktivni sudionici u upravljanju svojim zdravljem i bolešću, što oni mogu učiniti da bi se smanjio utjecaj bolesti na njihov život i samostalnost. Usmjeravanje pažnje na pacijentove vlastite mogućnosti samopomoći i djelovanja može pružiti željenu ravnotežu u procesu liječenja i održavanja zdravlja. U ovome radu nastoji se istražiti korištenje metoda KAM-a u pacijenata u ordinacijama obiteljske medicine, koliko korisnika koristi metode drugačije od konvencionalnog liječenja, koji su motivi za korištenje tretmana i imali povezanosti sa stupnjem obrazovanja i informiranosti. Rezultati istraživanja ukazuju na pretpostavke iznešene u ovome radu.
Abstract (english)
Supporters of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) argue that such treatments can be beneficial with great effect in addition to, and sometimes replace, conventional medicine, such assumptions have provoked sharp opposition from those who advocate approaches based on evidence of treatment effectiveness. Patients want to know and be active participants in managing their health and illness, which they can do to reduce the impact of the disease on their lives and independence. Focusing on the patient's own self-care and action options may provide the desired balance in the healing and maintenance process. This reserch seeks to investigate the use of CAM methods in patients in primary care, how many users use methods other than conventional treatment, which are the motives for using the treatment and have links with educational attainment and awareness. The research results indicate the assumptions made in this paper.
