The use of digital 3D models of the Earth's surface is on the rise in geodesy, but also in other scientific fields. Croatian and international terminology and definitions of digital 3D models, data collection methods for creating 3D models and their application in geodesy and other sciences are described in this thesis. A practical example of creating a 3D model is also described. The main goal of this thesis was to compare the speed of processing and the accuracy of the data obtained from the coordinates of the GNSS system and from the coordinates of the action camera. The location of the survey is the parking lot in front of the Faculty of Geodesy, which was first measured using a Topcon Hiper SR GNSS RTK device and a Sokkia 2LS Cygnus total station. Then the same procedure was performed using the Insta360 action camera and the Emlid Reach M2 GNSS device. The obtained photos with the coordinates of the Insta360 camera were loaded into the Agisoft Metashape software, and the process of obtaining three-dimensional models was described with an emphasis on recording the achieved accuracy and speed of data processing. The same procedure was repeated with photographs that had coordinates obtained from the Emlid Reach M2 GNSS device. The coordinates from the GNSS device were entered into the photos with the help of the free Exiftool software. The assumption is that better results will be obtained using photographs with coordinates from a GNSS device.
