Abstract
Tema ovog rada su teorije čvrstoće koje pokušavaju odgovoriti na pitanje kada će dva elementa od istog materijala, neovisno o stanju naprezanja, biti u jednakom stanju, tj. imati jednaka mehanička svojstva. Teorije čvrstoće koriste se kod složenog stanja naprezanja. U uvodnom dijelu opisan je problem. U teoretskom dijelu su ukratko prikazane teorije čvrstoće koje se najviše koriste u tehničkoj praksi. Riješeno je nekoliko primjera: Za nekoliko presjeka jednake površine i visine, ali različitog oblika poprečnog presjeka, izračunati su koeficijenti sigurnosti po svih pet teorija čvrstoće. Provedena je usporedba rezultata.
