Abstract
Obrađen je problem seizmičkog djelovanja na konstrukciju (u ovom slučaju most) i način na koji se konstrukcija od takvog djelovanja može zaštititi. Rad se sastoji od teorijskog i praktičnog dijela. U teorijskom dijelu je opisana priroda nastanka potresa i njegove posljedice na okolinu, primjeri potresa kroz povijest i šteta uzrokovana njima te načini na koje se konstrukcija danas može zaštititi od potresnog djelovanja. U praktičnom dijelu je modeliran nadvožnjak koji je optereden određenim vremenskim zapisom potresa i na osnovi rezultata tih modela doneseni su zaključci. Početni dio rada čitatelju pruža osnovne informacije o potresu i potresnom djelovanju te načinu njegova zapažanja, mjerenja i zapisivanja. Opisan je način na koji se potres modelira za inženjerske potrebe i stoga je obrađeno poglavlje zadavanja potresnog opteredenja prema europskim normama EC8. S obzirom da je svrha rada bila obraditi djelovanje potresa na konstrukcije mostova, dani su primjeri štete nastale na mostovima kroz povijest, uzrokovane potresom. Kratko su, kroz primjere, opisani razlozi nastanka slomova pojedinih elemenata mosta i gubitka njihove globalne stabilnosti. Idude poglavlje govori o uređajima za seizmičku izolaciju i principima njihovog funkcioniranja. Opisane su njihove materijalne i mehaničke karakteristike te su navedeni najčešdi oblici i vrste koje su se kroz povijest do danas koristile. Praktični dio rada sadrži analizu i usporedbu izoliranog i neizoliranog modela mosta pri djelovanju potresa koji se dogodio u Northridgeu 1994. godine. Izbor najoptimalnijeg izolatora za dani most je ovisio o pomacima i veličini sila koje su djelovale na njega. U jednom od softverskih paketa je izrađeno nekoliko modela istog mosta koji se razlikuju po položaju izolatora u njima, odnosno imaju li ili nemaju seizmičke izolatore u svojim elementima. Izvučeni su rezultati pomaka i poprečnih sila određenih elemenata svih modela te na osnovu usporedbe tih rezultata donosili su se zaključci.
Abstract (english)
This paper describes effects of seismic activity on constructions (in this case, constructions that are being analyzed are bridges) , and different ways of their seismic protection. Paper can be split in theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part of the paper describes nature of the earthquake and its consequences on the surrounding environment, examples of big earthquakes and damage they caused throughout history as well as ways of protecting the building from seismic activities. Practical part of the paper is based on the bridge models that are stressed with an earthquake in the form of time history analysis. First chapter of this work gives the reader some basic information about earthquakes and the means of their measurement. It also describes the principle of modelling an earthquake for engineering purposes based on the European normes EC8. Second chapter gives examples of bridge damage caused by earthquakes throughout history, describing the cause of bridge element failures and its global stability loss. This work also gives detailed description of seismic isolation devices, their principles of functioning and their material and mechanical characteristics. There are mentions of most common seismic isolation devices and their use throughout history. Practical part of this paper is based on analyzing and comparing the results of isolated and non isolated bridge model. Every model of the bridge is stressed with the same earthquake that happened in Northridge in year 1994. The choice of the most efficient isolator for these bridge models was based on the forces and displacements of the bridge. Several models of the same bridge are made in a software package. Their difference is in number and position of seismic isolators that they have. Final part of this work compares and explains the resulting displacements and internal forces of particular elements of bridge models.
