Abstract
U ovom radu smo u uvodu prikazali razlike između proračuna po metodi dopuštenih naprezanja i metodi graničnih stanja te naveli prednosti i nedostatke svake metode. U teoretskom dijelu smo naveli pretpostavke teorije elastičnosti, obradili savijanje nosača prema teoriji elastičnosti i odredili koje je kritično stanje prilikom proračuna nosača prema metodi dopuštenih naprezanja. Naveli smo pretpostavke teorije plastičnosti, obradili čisto savijanje ravnog štapa, savijanje silama i kako dolazi do otkazivanja štapa prema metodi graničnih stanja. U riješenim primjerima smo proveli usporednu analizu sustava po metodi dopuštenih naprezanja i metodi graničnih stanja i analizirali vezu između statičkog sustava i maksimalnog opterećenja koje nosač može podnijeti.
