Abstract
U zadnjih nekoliko godina, zbog velikih klimatskih promjena i cestovnih opterećenja, gradovi sve više ulažu u razvoj biciklističkog prometa zbog svoje ekonomske i ekološke isplativosti. Biciklistički promet je posebice vrlo popularan u najrazvijenijim gradovima Europe (Amsterdam, Kopenhagen). U završnom radu definirana i opisana su glavna obilježja te dijelovi biciklističkih staza, traka, općenito sudjelovanje biciklista u cestovnom prometu. Analizom prikupljenih podataka o biciklističkom prometu, zaključak je da biciklisti imaju važan utjecaj na kvalitetu života ljudi. Prikazane su biciklističke staze u gradu Varaždinu te su pojedini dijelovi staza u gradu detaljno opisani. Cjelokupni rad osmišljen je da čitatelju predoči mogućnost razvoja biciklističkih staza u Varaždinskoj županiji, uzimajući u obzir sve prilike i mogućnosti za to.
Abstract (english)
In the last few years, due to major climate changes and road loads, cities are increasingly investing in the development of bicycle traffic due to its economic and ecological profitability. Bicycles are particularly popular in the most developed cities of Europe (Amsterdam, Copenhagen). In the final paper, the main characteristics and parts of bicycle paths, lanes, and general participation of cyclists in road traffic are defined and described. By analyzing collected data on bicycle traffic, the conclusion is that cyclists have an important influence on people’s quality of life. Bicycle paths in the city of Varaždin and individual parts of the paths in the city are described in detail. The entire work is designed to present the reader with the possibility of developing bicycle paths in Varaždin County, taking into account all opportunities and possibilities for this.
