Abstract
Radon (222Ra) je prirodni radioaktivni plin kojeg se ne može vidjeti, okusiti ni namirisati. Ljudi su neprestano izloženi određenoj koncentraciji radona koji je nazočan u zemlji, vodi, zraku i hrani. Koncentracija radona u zraku koja se udiše poprilično je niska. Unutar stambenog prostora može biti vrlo visoka zbog toga jer radon može prodrijeti iz temeljnog tla preko podruma u samu građevinu [1]. U radu je provedena korelacijska analiza okolišnih parametara te je pomoću modela višestruke regresije određena statistička povezanost između okolišnih parametara (temperatura, vlažnost i atmosferski tlak) i koncentracije radona [2]. Mjerenja su provedena na više lokacija sjeverozapadne Hrvatske u različitim stambenim objektima. Rezultati su ukazali na postojanje povezanosti između pojedinih okolišnih parametara i koncentracije radona na pojedinim lokacijama odnosno uočeno je opadanje koncentracije radona s povećanjem atmosferskog tlaka te povećanje koncentracije radona s povećanjem vlažnosti zraka.
Abstract (english)
Radon (222Ra) is natural radioactive gas that cannot be seen, tasted or smelled. People are daily exposed to a certain concentration of radon that is present in soil, water, air and food. The concentration of radon in the inhaled air is quite low. Inside a living space the concentration of radon can be very high because radon can permeate from a foundation soil over a basement into a building itself. The paper shows a correlation analysis of environmental parameters by using the model of multiple regressions. It defines certain statistical relations between environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure and radon concentration.. Measurements were carried out at several locations in various residential buildings in north-western Croatia. The results indicated that individual environmental parameters and radon concentration at individual locations were connected. For example, at one location the concentration of radon was decreasing if atmospheric pressure was increasing. Measurements at another location indicated that the concentration of radon was increasing if air humidity was increasing.
