Abstract
Porastom stanovništva i ubrzanim načinom života dolazimo do sve većeg problema stvaranja velikih količina otpada i njegovog odlaganja. Kako bi se ostvarilo efikasno gospodarenje otpada potrebno je razumjeti varijabilnost parametara otpada te svojstva otpada. Svaka aktivnost usmjerena na poboljšanje sustava gospodarenja otpadom ima cilj smanjenje količina odloženog otpada. Stanje otpada kojeg odlažemo na odlagališta je vrlo važno, te su radi toga sve potrebnije tehnologije koje omogućuju njegovu obradu prije odlaganja. U ovom radu će se objasniti tehnologija mehaničko biološke obrade i uzorak otpada koji je uzet iz centra za gospodarenje otpadom Marišćina. Na otpadu se ispituje posmična čvrstoća direktnim posmikom. Posmična čvrstoća je jedan od mehaničkih parametara koji su potrebni pri projektiranju odlagališta. Ispituje se u laboratoriju pomoću direktnog posmika i triaksijalnog pokusa. U radu je opisan način direktnog posmika i postupak ispitivanja na MBO otpadu, te su prikazani dobiveni rezultati.
Abstract (english)
As population grows and our lives become faster, creating large amounts of waste and its disposal become a growing problem. In order to achieve efficient waste management, it is necessary to understand the variability of waste parameters and waste properties. The goal of every activity aimed at improving waste management system is to reduce the amount of landfilled waste. The condition of the waste which is disposed of in landfills is of great importance and therefore, there are processes that allow its treatment.. This paper explains the mechanical biological treatment of waste.As an example, waste from Marišćina waste management centre was taken. The shear strength of waste is tested by direct shear. Shear strength is one of the mechanical parameters required when designing a landfill. It is tested in a laboratory using a direct shear and triaxle experiment. The paper describes the method of direct shear and a test procedure on MBO waste and it presents the results which were obtained.
