Strategic management can be defined as the process of formulating and implementing strategies that determine the long-term success of the organization. Strategic management is a process that is carried out in five steps or stages, namely: environmental analysis, setting the direction of the organization, formulating the strategy, implementing the strategy, and controlling and evaluating the strategy. The first and critical step in formulating a quality strategy is environmental analysis. In strategic analysis, the organization's environment is viewed as a set of all external and internal factors that can influence the organization's path towards achieving its own goals. The external environment consists of all factors that are outside the company, and is divided into the general or social environment and the business environment or task environment, and the internal environment is all factors within the company that management can influence. The purpose is to assess the level of risk represented by various environmental factors as well as the business opportunities they represent. For the purposes of this thesis, the environment of the company was researched with a special emphasis on the analysis of the strategic environment of the company „Doko građenje d.o.o.“ Using selected tools of strategic management, an analysis of the environment of the said company was carried out. The goal of environmental analysis is that company managers use the obtained results to formulate future business strategies.
