Abstract
Ovaj završni rad bavi se istraživanjem primjene drva kao obloge pročelja. Oblaganje drvenim oblogama danas je jako popularan način oblaganja pročelja zgrada. Drvo je kao materijal poznat čovjeku dugi niz godina i ima široku primjenu u zgradarstvu. Kao materijal je lako dostupan, s velikim izborom različitih vrsta. Neke vrste imaju posebno dobru prirodnu otpornost i izdržljivost, lako se obrađuju i prekrasno izgledaju, što ih čini idealnim materijalom za oblaganje pročelja zgrada. S druge strane, drvo zahtjeva redovito održavanje. Sklono je napadima insekata i štetočina, truljenju i raspucavanju, čime se smanjuje njegov životni vijek trajanja. Ovim završnim radom se istražuje razvoj drvenih pročelja kroz povijest, njihova karakteristična obilježja te načini korištenja drva u interijerima i eksterijerima, s naglaskom na korištenje drvenih obloga kao eksterijernih fasada. Predstavljeno je nekoliko načina oblaganja pročelja, prednosti i nedostaci korištenja drvenih obloga kao obloga, te načini na koje se drvena pročelja mogu zaštiti i održavati kako bi što dulje služila svojoj svrsi.
Abstract (english)
This final paper deals with the research of the use of wood as facade cladding. Today, wooden cladding is a very popular way of cladding the facades. Wood as a material has been known for many years and is widely used in constructions. As a material, wood is easily available, with huge selection of different types. Some types of wood have particulary good natural resistance and durability, are easy to process and look beautiful, which makes them ideal for external cladding. On the other hand, wood requires regular maintenance. It is prone to insects and pest attacks, rotting and cracking which reduce its lifespan. This final paper examines the development of wooden facades through history, their characteristic features and ways of using wood in interiors and exteriors, while emphasis is on the use of wooden cladding as exterior facades. A few methods of wooden cladding are explained, as well as advantages and disadvantages of wooden cladding and ways to protect and maintain wooden cladding facades, so that they can serve their purpose as long as possible.
