Abstract
Nove vrste industrije tijekom 20. stoljeća te različiti oblici industrija uvelike utječu na okoliš, a time i ostavljaju brojne posljedice na prostor. Povećane količine industrijskih aktivnosti sve više uzrokuju povećana onečišćenja prostora i okoliša. Zbog toga sve se više javlja potreba za revitalizacijom odnosno sanacijom napuštenih industrijskih područja (brownfield područja) koja negativno utječu na okoliš no također imaju potencijal za budući razvoj. U ovom završnom radu obrađena je tema brownfield područja te njihova definija i osnovne karakteristike. Rad sadrži i neke primjere dobre prakse revitalizacije industrijski onečišenih područja u svijetu, ali i u Hrvatskoj te njihova usporedbu. Dane su i neke osnovne smjernice, strategije i propisi vezani za industrijsko onečišćena područja.
Abstract (english)
New types of industries during the 20th century and various forms of industry significantly impact the enviroment, thus leaving numerous consequences on space. Increased amounts of industrial activities are increasingly causing elevated pollution of spaces and the environment. Because of this, there is a growing need for the revitalizatiom orremediation of abandoned industrial areas (brownfield areas) that negatively affect the environment but also hold potential for future development. In this final paper, the topic of brownfield areas is covered, along with their definition and basic characteristics. The paper also includes some examples of good practice in the revitalization of industrially polluted areas worldwide, as well as in Croatia and their comparison. Basic guidelines, strategies and regulations related to industrially polluted areas are also provided.
