Abstract
Projekt riblje staze mora osim tehničkih uvjeta zadovoljiti i uvjete funkcionalnosti da bi ispunio svoju funkciju. Brojne vrste riba mogu iskoristiti turbulenciju unutar toka za olakšanje svoje kretnje tijekom migracije uzvodno kroz vodotok. Cilj ovog rada je dati informacije o turbulenciji unutar riblje staze bitne projektantima, zaključene na temelju karakteristika izmjerenog polja tečenja u fizičkom modelu riblje staze. Preispituje se funkcionalnost tehničkih ribljih staza kroz utjecaj turbulencije na kretanje riba kroz njih. Promatrana varijabla je turbulentna kinetička energija koja utječe na vrijeme prolaska riba kroz riblju stazu. U svrhu provedbe analiza napravljen je MATLAB algoritam za predobradu, obradu i grafički prikaz podataka. Ustanovljeno je da na turbulenciju unutar ribljih staza najviše utječe duljina bazena dok nagib ima manji utjecaj. Turbulencija je najmanje izražena u površinskom sloju koji ribe dominantno koriste za odmor.
Abstract (english)
Apart form technical requirements, the fish pass design project is required to meet functionality criteria in order to fulfill its dedicated function. Fish can use turbulence generated by the flow to swim easier upstream through the river during migration. The aim of this paper is to gain insight about turbulence in fish passes based on the characteristics of the flow field measured in the fish pass physical model to be used in fish pass design guidelines. Functionality of technical fishways is analysed through the influence of turbulence on fish movement inside the fish pass. The selected variable for the analysis is the turbulent kinetic energy that influences the time of passage for migrating fish. For the purpose of performing the analyses, a MATLAB algorithm for pre-processing, post- processing and graphical display of data was developed. It was found that turbulent kinetic energy within the pools of fish passes is mostly influenced by the length of the pool, while the bottom slope has minor influence. Turbulent kinetic energy is the smallest in the surface layer, which fish predominantly use for resting.
