This thesis discusses the phenomenon of corruption, mainly in the context of the Croatian construction industry. Existing studies show that construction is one of the most corrupted economic sectors. The causes of an increased rate of corruption in construction, relative to other sectors, are found in the characteristics and nature of construction projects. Due to its susceptibility to corruption, there is a wide diversity of corruptive behaviours that involve all the participants in a construction project. It is present at all stages of the building process. Corruption in construction results in the launch of unnoticed, poor quality and too costly projects. Therefore, the fight against corruption and its prevention is exceedingly important. As a part of this thesis, a questionnaire survey was developed. Respondents were students in the field of construction in Croatia. The goal was to find out their attitude, opinion and perception about corruption in the Croatian construction industry. In addition, it sought to challenge students' susceptibility to participating in corrupt behaviour. As a result of the research, it can be concluded that the male population is more likely to participate in such acts, as well as older students and those who find construction industry corrupted in general.
