Abstract
„Moderni problemi zahtijevaju moderna rješenja“. U današnje vrijeme rastuće industrije proizvode se velike količine otpadnih materijala koji se adekvatno ne zbrinjavaju te na taj način uvelike onečišćuju okoliš. U ovom radu ispitana je mogućnost primjene jednog od takvih otpadnih materijala pri spravljanju morta i betona. PVC piljevina nastaje kao otpadni materijal pri proizvodnji PVC stolarije. U tu svrhu, izrađene su različite mješavine standardnog cementnog morta i običnog betona na način da se udio sitnog agregata zamijeni PVC piljevinom. Mješavine se razlikuju prema udjelu PVC-piljevine (0%, 15% i 30% volumena pijeska). Na svježim mješavinama cementnog morta i betona su ispitana gustoća i obradljivost a na očvrslim uzorcima tlačna i savojna čvrstoća. Svojstva u svježem stanju ukazuju na probleme koji su nastali prilikom izrade mješavina. Rezultati ispitivanja na očvrslim uzorcima daju dosta niže vrijednosti tlačnih i vlačnih čvrstoća u usporedbi s uzorcima bez PVC piljevine. Na temelju toga se zaključuje da je potrebno pronaći prikladniji način spravljanja svježih mješavina čime bi se možda postigle i veće čvrstoće na očvrslim uzorcima.
Abstract (english)
"Modern problems require modern solutions". Nowadays, growing industries produce large amounts of waste materials that are not adequately disposed of and thus greatly pollute the environment. In this paper, the possibilitty of use of one of the waste materials in mortar and concrete mixtures is investigated. PVC sawdust is generated as a waste material in the production of PVC joinery. For this purpose, different mixtures of standard cement mortar and ordinary concrete were made in such a way that the part of fine aggregate was replaced by PVC sawdust. The mixtures differ according to the amount of PVC sawdust (0%, 15% and 30% by sand volume). Density and workability were tested on fresh cement mortar and concrete mixtures, while compressive and flexural strength on hardened samples. The properties of fresh samples describe problems that occured during the preparation of mixtures. The test results of compressive and tensile strengths on hardened samples give much lower values compared to samples without PVC sawdust. Based on this, it is concluded that it is necessary to find a more convinient way of preparing fresh mixtures, which might contribute to higher strengths on hardened samples.
