Abstract
U ovome radu opisano je izvijanje elementa promjenjivog poprečnog presjeka. Cilj je opisati i primijeniti energetsku metodu za izračun kritične sile i usporediti njezinu točnost u odnosu na statičku metodu. Riješena su dva različita primjera, prvi je štap sa zglobnim ležajem na oba kraja, dok je drugi primjer upeti štap sa slobodnim krajem odnosno vertikalna konzola. Što se tiče teorijskog djela, opisana je Eulerova metoda određivanja kritične sile. Pokazano je da je energetska metoda vrlo praktična, ali se dobiva greška u izračunu kritične sile u odnosu na statičku metodu. Dobivena vrijednost kritične sile bila je 7% (upeti nosač) i 15% (zglobno oslonjen nosač) veća od sile dobivene statičkom metodom.
Abstract (english)
This thesis describes buckling of a variable cross-sectional element. The goal is to describe and apply the energy method for calculating the critical force and compare its accuracy in relation to the static method. Two different examples were solved, the first is a rod with a joint support on both ends, while the second example is a clamped rod with a free end, i.e. a vertical cantilever. As for the theoretical work, Euler's method of determining the critical force is described. It is shown that the energy method is very practical, but an error is obtained in the calculation of the critical force compared to the static method. The obtained value of the critical force was 7% (cantilever) and 15% (joint supports) larger than the force obtained by the static method.
