Abstract
Tema ovog rada je upravljanje u hitnim situacijama u slučaju prirodne katastrofe potresa. Najprije se definira nastanak potresa te utjecaj potresa na građevinske objekte i okoliš s primjerima iz povijesti. Nadalje, kroz rad se analiziraju faze upravljanja u hitnim situacijama, uključujući aktivnosti prije nastanka potresa i aktivnosti nakon potresnog događaja. Kroz primjere potresa na Banovini i zagrebačkog potresa iz 2020. godine opisuju se faze aktivnosti odgovora na potres, kao i obnova i oporavak nakon potresa. Također, u radu je opisano međunarodno upravljanje u hitnim situacijama na primjeru Italije i potresa iz 2016. godine. Konačno, obuhvaća se važnost uloge inženjera građevine u upravljanju u hitnim potresnim situacijama, važnost protupotresne gradnje te Eurokod 8.
Abstract (english)
The topic of this paper is emergency management in the event of a natural disaster, specifically an earthquake. The paper begins by defining the occurrence of earthquakes and their impact on buildings and the environment, with historical examples. Furthermore, it analyzes the phases of emergency management, including activities before an earthquake occurs and those that follow the seismic event. The response phases to earthquakes, as well as the recovery and reconstruction efforts, are described through examples of the Banovina earthquake and the 2020 Zagreb earthquake. The paper also discusses international emergency management, using Italy and the 2016 earthquake as a case study. Finally, the importance of civil engineers in managing earthquake emergencies is highlighted, along with the significance of earthquake-resistant construction and Eurocode 8.
