Abstract
Ovaj diplomski rad analizira zapadnu industrijsku zonu Mlaka i predlaže unaprjeđenje urbanog prostora. Glavni fokus je na infrastrukturnim izazovima, osobito problemu oborinskih voda u ulici Milutina Barača, gdje postojeći oborinski kolektor nije adekvatan za prihvat velikih količina vode tijekom obilnih kiša, što uzrokuje poplavljivanje ulica i okolnog terena. Rad identificira ključne elemente za unapređenje infrastrukture s ciljem poboljšanja kvalitete života i urbanog prostora zone. Analiza uključuje pregled povijesnog razvoja područja i kulturne baštine, s naglaskom na neiskorištene objekte s potencijalom za prenamjenu. Identifikacija ključnih potreba za unapređenje provedena je kroz analizu prometne povezanosti i trendova mobilnosti. Također je naglašena potreba za poboljšanjem vodotoka radi unapređenja urbanog prostora, uz identifikaciju kritičnih dijelova postojeće komunalne infrastrukture važnih za buduće strategije unapređenja. SWOT analizom sintetizirane su snage, slabosti, prilike i prijetnje zone, što je rezultiralo prijedlogom strategije za rekonstrukciju i dogradnju sustava odvodnje otpadnih voda. Na kraju su predložene dodatne strategije za daljnji razvoj zone.
Abstract (english)
This graduate thesis analyzes the western industrial zone of Mlaka and proposes improvements to the urban space. The main focus is on infrastructural challenges, particularly the issue of stormwater in Milutin Barač Street, where the existing stormwater collector is inadequate for handling large volumes of water during heavy rainfall, leading to street and surrounding area flooding. The thesis identifies key elements for infrastructure improvement, aiming to enhance the quality of life and the urban environment of the zone. The analysis includes an overview of the historical development of the area and its cultural heritage, with an emphasis on unused objects with potential for repurposing. The identification of key needs for improvement is conducted through an analysis of traffic connectivity and mobility trends. The need for improvement of watercourses is also highlighted to enhance the urban space, along with identifying critical parts of the existing communal infrastructure that are essential for future improvement strategies. A SWOT analysis synthesizes the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the zone, resulting in a proposed strategy for the reconstruction and upgrade of the wastewater drainage system. Finally, additional strategies for the further development of the zone are proposed.
