Abstract
Ponašanje krupnozrnastog tla uvelike je različito od ponašanja sitnozrnastog. U stvarnosti vrlo je rijedak slučaj „čiste“ frakcije materijala („čisti“ pijesak i „čista“ glina) već se radi o mješavinama frakcija. Istraživanja su pokazala da postoji granica u postotku mase kada u mješavini pijeska i gline, glina dominira ponašanjem. Za potrebe ovog rada provedeno je 30 pokusa u uređaju za izravno smicanje. Cilj istraživanja je odrediti kako sitnozrnaste frakcije, u ovom slučaju glina, utječu na posmičnu čvrstoću pijeska. Ukupno je provedeno deset serija ispitivanja mješavina dravskog pijeska sa različitim udjelima glinenih čestica i vlažnosti. Svaku od serija činila su tri uzorka na koja su djelovala tri različita normalna naprezanja. Rezultati provedenih ispitivanja prikazani su dijagramom posmičnog i normalnog naprezanja, posmičnog naprezanja i horizontalnog pomaka, vertikalnog i horizontalnog pomaka te dijagramom normiranog naprezanja. Sva ispitivanja provedena su u Geotehničkom laboratoriju Građevinskog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Rijeci.
Abstract (english)
Behavior of coarse-grained soils is very different from behavior of fine grained soils. In reality it's rare to find soil that's made of one type of soil material (coarse or fine grained), rather consists of a mixture of both soil types. Research has shown that there is a limit in mass percentage in mixture of sand and clay where clay particles dominate with it's behavior over sand. For the purpuse of this work a total of 30 direct shear tests have been conducted. The goal was to determin how fine grained particles, in this case clay, has an inpact on shear strengt of sand. Total of ten series were conducted on mixtures of sand and clay with different moisture levels. Every series was made of three samples which were subject to three different normal stress levels. Relations of direct shear and normal stress, direct shear and horizontal shift, vertical and horizontal shift and standarized stress diagrams were made form laboratory test results. All tests were conducted in Geotechnical laboratory in college of Civil engineering in University of Rijeka.
