Abstract Ovim radom analizira se tema parking garaža u ''Park and Ride'' sustavu kao mogućnost
učinkovitog rješavanja problema stvaranja prometnih gužvi u centru gradova kao što je grad
Pula. Kroz ovaj rad posebno će se analizirati područje grada Pule gdje postoji prethodno
navedeni problem, a koji je, kao i kod ostalih gradova na jadranskoj obali posebno izražen za
vrijeme turističke sezone, odnosno u ljetnim mjesecima.
Na početku rada analizirati će se grad Pula te dva najbitnija razdoblja njegove povijesti
koji su u području urbanizma uvelike oblikovali grad Pulu kakav danas poznajemo. Problem
koji je danas prisutan, a odnosi se na nastajanje prometnih gužvi u samom centru grada, usko
je povezan sa spomenutim razdobljima povijesti grada Pule.
U nastavku će se predstaviti vizija budućeg razvoja grada Pule kao zelenog grada bez
prometa u samom centru grada. Da bi se isto ostvarilo potrebno je proširiti pješačku zonu te
izmjestiti parking mjesta iz centra na periferiju centra grada. Tu se ''Park and Ride'' sustav
nameće kao najučinkovitije rješenje za dobivanje većeg broja parking mjesta na periferiji
centra grada te sprječavanje tranzitnog prometa kroz sam centar grada.
Također, ukratko će se predstaviti plan održive mobilnosti Grada Pule koji je potaknut
od strane Europske unije, a koji za cilj ima smanjenje prometa u centru te povećanje
atraktivnosti i kvalitete gradskog okoliša, u što se također uklapaju ''Park and Ride'' strukture.
U zadnjem dijelu rada analizirati će se ''Park and 'Ride'' sustav te razne vrste parking
garaža koje su najbitniji element navedenog sustava. Isto tako prikazati će se najvažniji
funkcionalni elementi parking garaža kao što su površine za parkiranje, rampe i slično.
Na kraju rada izveden je idejni projekt parking kuće na području grada Pule odnosno na
samoj periferiji gradskog centra u četvrti ''Pragrande'', a sve na temelju provedenih analiza u
prethodnom dijelu rada.
Abstract (english) This thesis analyzes the topic of the parking garages in the “Park and Ride” system as a
possibility of effectively resolving the issue of traffic jams in the center of a city such as Pula.
The focus of this work will be the analysis of the urban area of Pula where the previously
mentioned issue has been detected, which is especially noticeable during the tourist season i.
e. during the summer months.
We will commence this paper by analyzing the city of Pula and by singling out two of
the most influential urbanization periods in its history, which have greatly affected the
architecture of Pula as we know it today. The problem we have today, and we are referring to
the emergence of traffic jams in the city center, is closely related to the mentioned time
periods.
Furthermore, we present a vision of the future development of Pula as a green city
without traffic going through the city center itself. In order to achieve this, it is necessary to
extend the pedestrian zones and to transfer the parking spaces from the center to the
downtown periphery. It is here where the “Park and Ride” system presents itself as the most
effective solution for creating a larger quantity of the parking spaces at the downtown
periphery and for eliminating the transit traffic passing through the city center.
Additionally, we will also touch upon the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for the city
of Pula which has been actuated by the European Union with the goals of reducing the traffic
in the city center and increasing the appeal and the quality of the urban environment, which
also includes the “Park and Ride” structure.
In the last part of the thesis, we will analyze the “Park and Ride” system along with the
various other types of parking garages which are the most important element of the
mentioned system. We will also discuss the most functionally important elements of the
parking garages, such as parking surfaces, ramps etc.
The closing section of the thesis will present a conceptual project of a parking lot
situated at the downtown periphery in “Pragrande” neighborhood, which is based upon all the
analyses previously performed.
