Abstract
Projektom se razmatra problem nedostatka vrtićkih kapaciteta unutar guste urbane matrice grada Splita. Zbog nedostatka slobodnog prostora odluka je projektirati vrtić kao interpolaciju u postojeći infrastrukturni objekt garaže, tipske situacije stambenih kvartova. Time se podiže vrijednost prostora i rješava problem nalaska i vjerojatne potrebe otkupa prazne privatne parcele. Adaptirajući dio objekta čiste utilitarne namjene koji u gradskom prostoru funkcionira kao ne-mjesto koje građani praktički ne doživljavaju, stvara se hibrid koji istovremeno ima karakter samostojećeg objekta, obogaćuje prostor i služi kao ispitivanje potencijala ovakvog pristupa problemu nedostatka slobodnih parcela u gradu.
Abstract (english)
The project deals with the problem of lack of kindergarten capacities within the dense urban matrix of the city of Split. Because of the lack of free space, the decision is to design a kindergarten as an interpolation to an existing garage infrastructure, a typical neighborhood situation. This raises the value of the space and solves the problem of finding and probable purchase of an empty private parcel. Adapting a purely utilitarian purpose building that functions as a non-place in the city creates a hybrid that at the same time has the character of a detached object, enriches the space and serves as an examination of the potential for such access to the problem of lack of free parcels in the city.
