The output device used in production include printers and printing machines. Output devices require calibration in order to optimize their performance and to achieve repeatable results. Methods for the calibration of output devices differ considering its Methods of Setting the the parameters, namely with regard to the objectives when setting the parameters of the process. G7 calibration method has two key objectives. One is tune playing tones for CMY and K color and the other is to achieve gray balance, defined as a linear function of background colors to CMY and K wedges. In the process of calibration tools are used such as color maps to determine the reproductive characteristics of the device and the necessary corrections. For this purpuose G7 method use P2P color map. Although according to the publisher G7 method and its tools are applicable to all printing techniques and printing processes, practices, and one recently published study indicate problems of achieving the objectives of the G7 specification. Within the framework of this study was to examine the effectiveness of the calibration laser printer using G7 calibration method and its tools. After evaluation of the results achieved with the standard tools and identification of their weak points, will be made modified tools in order to improve the results of calibration.
