Abstract | U diplomskom se radu analazira fotografski rad Marije Braut kao jedne od najznačajnijih hrvatskih fotografkinja. Marija Braut roĎena je u Celju, 1929. godine. Od 1941. godine ţivi i stvara u Zagrebu, a fotografijom se počinje baviti u 38. godini ţivota. Svoj profesionalni put započinje u Ilici 17, u atelijeru slavnog Toše Dabca od kojeg uči i s kojim suraĎuje oko tri godine. Kao njegova učenica i suradnica nastavlja tradiciju umjetničke fotografije kao dragocjenog svjedoka zagrebačkih i hrvatskih dogaĎaja i ličnosti. Marija Braut je danas ţivuća, moţda jedina nasljednica slavne »zagrebačke škole« fotografije koja se afirmirala tridesetih godina prošlog stoljeća, tematski odlikovana punoćom ţivota, vedrinom, snagom i dinamikom motiva s često prisutnom narodnom notom, a s tehničke strane bogatstvom detalja u tamnim dijelovima slika. Majstorica je svjetla i tame u fotografiji.
Tematski krugovi i motivi fotografija Marije Braut su krajolici, djeca, portreti, Dubrovnik i Ljetne igre, umjetnici i kazalište, Zagreb i zagrebačke kulturno-povijesne znamenitosti, Šibenik i Dječji festival, Varaţdin s povijesnom jezgrom, korčulanske procesije, mirogojski ugoĎaji i crkve, rat, gradovi i ulice, ljudi i dogaĎaji od Istre do Slavonije, od Dalmacije do Zagorja. Odrţala je preko 100 samostalnih izloţbi i sudjelovala na brojnim skupnim izloţbama u zemlji i inozemstvu. Članica je ULPUH-a, dobitnica je brojnih priznanja i nagrada, do sada je objavila 11 monografija. |
Abstract (english) | In this graduation thesis photographic opus of Marija Braut, one of most significant Croatian photographers, is analyzed. Marija Braut was born in Celje, 1929. Since 1941. She lives and works in Zagreb but not until her 38th year did she start working in photography. She started her professional career as a photographer in Ilica 17, in the atelier of famous Tošo Dabac, from whom she learns and cooperates with for some three years. As his student and colleague she continues tradition of artistic photography as a precious witness of Zagreb and Croatian events and personas. Marija Braut is one of the last living inheritors of well-known »Zagreb school« of photography which was affirmed in the thirties of the last century, thematically characterized by fullness of life, vivacity, vigour and dynamism of motives, often permeated with folk motives while technically characterized with profusion of details in dark elements of photographs. Marija Braut is a master of light and darkness in photography.
Themes and motives of Marija Braut’s photographs are landscape, children, portraits, Dubrovnik and Summer games, artists and theater, Zagreb and Zagreb’s cultural and historical monuments, Šibenik and Childrens’ festival, Varaţdin with its historic center, Korčula’s procession, Mirogoj’s athmosphere and churches, wars, cities and streets, people and events ranging from Istra to Slavonija, from Dalmacija to Zagorje. She held over a 100 stand-alone exhibitions and participated in a multitude of collective exhibitions both locally and abroad. Marija Braut is a member of ULPUH, she won of a multitude of awards and has published 11 monographs. |
