Abstract
Uporabljivost, mjera do koje korisnici mogu koristiti sustav sa svrhom izvršavanja određenih ciljeva na efektivan, efikasan i subjektivno zadovoljavajuć način, danas predstavlja faktor preživljavanja na internetu; ako je web stranica problematična za korištenje – korisnici odlaze dalje. Kada je neka web stranica uporabljiva, korisnik može činiti što želi na način koji očekuje da je to moguće, bez smetnji, oklijevanja i nedoumica. Implementacijom korisnički orijentiranih dizajnerskih principa, te proučavanjem ponašanja korisnika i razumijevanjem njihovih potreba, dizajneri imaju mogućnost kreirati uporabljive web stranice. Korištenje metoda evaluacije uporabljivosti nužno je kako bi se potvrdilo da je web stranica uporabljiva i da odgovara korisničkim potrebama te da bi identificirali eventualni problemi. Ovaj rad donosi pregled dostupnih izvora teorije uporabljivosti i njezine primjene na webu, te putem praktičnih istraživanja ilustrira važnost korištenja metoda evaluacije kako bi se poboljšala uporabljivost web stranica.
Abstract (english)
Usability as the extent to which a system can be used by users to achieve specified goals with effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction, is a factor of survival on the internet today. If a web site is difficult to use - users browse away. When a web site is usable, the user can do whatever he wants in a way he expects it is possible, without interference, hesitation and doubts. By implementating user oriented design principles and through observing patterns of internet users behaviour, designers can create fully usable interactive interfaces. Utilization of evaluation methods is neccessary to confirm that a web site is usable and that it accomodates user demands, as well as to identify eventual problems. This paper presents available sources of usability theory and their application on web sites, and, through practical research, illustrates the importance of usage of evaluation methods to improve the usability of a web page.
