Abstract
Ovaj diplomski rad prikazuje područje vezano uz foto knjige koje se nalaze među raznim definicijama knjiga umjetnika. Foto knjiga jednako kao i knjiga umjetnika je individualna kompozicija, dizajnirana, zamišljena i izrađena od strane samog umjetnika. Umjetnici i fotografi preko stranice knjige izražavaju svoje ideje i zamisli. Svakodnevnicu predstavljaju knjigom kao novim medijem prezentiranja ovakve vrste suvremene umjetnosti. Opisan je proces izrade osobne foto knjige od početne ideje do realizacije, počevši od snimanja, prikupljanja, obrade fotografija, izrade uzoraka pa sve do grafičkog oblikovanja, prijeloma, uvezivanja i završnih procesa. Foto knjigu ne čine samo fotografije već postupak izrade koji uveliko utječe na konačan izgled knjige. Prikazano je istraživanje o počecima i povijesnom razvoju knjiga umjetnika u Hrvatskoj i u svijetu. Spomenute su institucije, organizacije, galerije, zavodi koji djeluju na principu nezavisnih izdavača i šire suvremeni žanr knjige umjetnika koji još uvijek nije toliko poznat na našim prostorima. Svakog dana je sve veća ponuda i potražnja za takvim vrstama knjiga suvremene umjetnosti odnosno fotografije.
Abstract (english)
This thesis shows the area related to the photo books that are among the various definitions of book artists. Photo books as artist's book are individual compositions, designed, conceived and designed by the artist himself. Artists and photographers across the pages of the book express their ideas and thoughts. Their everyday life is the book as a new medium of presenting this kind of contemporary art. The processes of making personal photo books from the initial idea to its realization are described, starting with recording, collecting, processing photos, making samples up to graphic design, layout, binding and finishing processes. Photo book is not only photos but the whole process and the prospect of the book is important. The study of the origins and historical development of book artists in Croatia and abroad is shown. The institutions, organizations, galleries, institutes which operate on the principle of independent publishers and the wider genre of contemporary book artists who are still not so well known in our region are mentioned. Offer and demand for these kinds of books of contemporary art and photography is getting bigger every day.
