Photo manipulation is a wide term and as such it does not have only one definition. We can say that it is a new form of digital art in which the original photograph changes. By cropping and connecting different elements we get a product that cannot be achieved by just capturing a photograph. Today, photo manipulation is present in all media. In the theoretical part of this thesis we define the meaning of photo manipulation and its development through history. We are going to state different versions of digital manipulation and the main differences between each of them, where it is usually used and also some of the main artists in digital manipulation today. In the practical part we are going to show a fashion editorial consisting of ten photographs with the theme of animal abuse in the food, fashion and the cosmetics industry. We are also going to explain the idea, methodology and the sole process of creating a photo manipulation. All of the photo manipulations are created in Adobe Photoshop, since it has all the tools needed for this process. After the creation of the photo manipulations, we are going to convey a survey to find out the attitude towards the mentioned from the observer’s point of view.
