Abstract (english) | The popularity of the 3D world is rapidly growing each day and with that, the usage of 3D
in different fields is also growing. In this paper, the emphasis is put on animated movies,
where nowadays, more and more of them are made using 3D techniques. There is also a
growth in the number of 3D software, and the software used to make 3D models in this paper
is Blender. To start off, a working surface will be introduced as well as the basic tools needed
to create a 3D character. Before creating the 3D model, there must be an idea of how the
character is supposed to look like. The character creation includes creation of the character
itself and the creation of the clothes and footwear. As we go through basic tools, ones that
are used to create a 3D character, each tool will be explained through a process in which it
was used. After character creation, the materials, and textures used on the character are
defined. It's also shown how UV mapping is helping us with that, as well as what UV
mapping even is. After that, the character is fully done and it's time to move onto the
animation part of this paper. Before the animation itself, it's important to do a step called
"rigging". This step will be explained, and it will be shown how rigging is done. At the very
end, tools in Blender used for the animation are shown, same as the vocabulary used in the
software; vocabulary such as "timeline" and "keyframe". After the animation is done, all
that's left is to set up the lighting, camera, and export settings. |
