Book trade Abstract Novinski ofset tisak, zbog najekonomičnije proizvodnje, postao je brojem otisaka na tržištu najzastupljenija tiskarska tehnika za dnevne, tjedne i mjesečne tiskane medije. No, premda najzastupljenija, tradicionalno je smatrana i najmanje zahtjevnom tehnikom, jer se koristila za proizvodnju tiskovina koje su vrijedne samo jedan dan, pa se u novinski tisak uvijek ulagalo najmanje truda u standardizaciju i ujednačenu kvalitetu. Novinske rotacije koncipirane su kao manje zahtjevne od revijalnog ofsetnog tiska. Na izgled i kvalitetu otisnutog proizvoda u no-vinskom tisku utječe niz faktora od kojih su neki od presudne važnosti i morali bi biti kontro-lirani tijekom proizvodnje cijele naklade - gustoća obojenja i prirast rastertonskih vrijednosti. Kako bi se novinska reprodukcija smatrala kvalitetno otisnutom, glavni uvjet je pravilno rep-roduciranje svih rasterskih elemenata. Prijelazno modulirani - hibridni rasterski element kom-binira tradicionalnu amplitudno-moduliranu tehniku rastriranja s frekventno-moduliranom tehnikom prvenstveno na način da koristi pozitivne čimbenike jednog i drugog rastriranja u malim, srednjim i velikim rastertonskim vrijednostima.
Istraživanjem se ispitao utjecaj geometrijske i optičke deformacije rasterskih elemenata hibri-dnog rastriranja na kvalitetu tiska, komparirani su rezultati mjerenja deformacije rastertonskih vrijednosti koji su u izravnoj vezi s dobivenom kvalitetom, te su stavljeni u korelaciju s rezul-tatima subjektivnog istraživanja. Također su denzitometrijskim i spektrofotometrijskim meto-dama analizirane gustoće obojenja otisaka kroz cijelu nakladu. Promatrana svojstva su valori-zirana znanstvenim metodama i prezentirana grafičkim prikazima. Predložene su nove vrijed-nosti preporučenih prirasta rastertonskih vrijednosti u novinskom ofsetnom tisku s hibridnim rasterskim elementima. Ustanovljen je utjecaj prevladavajuće, reciklirane tiskovne podloge na kvalitetu reprodukcije.
Povezivanjem rezultata mjernih (objektivnih) i vizualnih (subjektivnih) analiza omogućeno je definiranje kriterija kvalitete s kojim će se na osnovu istraživanja postaviti kriteriji za postiza-nje veće kvalitete reprodukcije.
Abstract (english) Newspaper print (coldset), because of the most economic production, became quantitatively the most used print technology for the daily, weekly and monthly printed media on the mar-ket. Although used the most, it is also traditionally considered the least demanding technology as it was used for editions that have daily value. That is the reason why the least effort was invested in standardization and uniformed quality. The printing machines for coldset are con-ceptualized as less demanding then those in magazine heatset print. A variety of different fac-tors affect the appearance and quality of printed product, some of which are of crucial impor-tance and should be monitored during the whole circulation - print density and dot gain of screen elements. Newspaper print can be considered of satisfactory quality if all of the screen elements were reproduced correctly. Hybrid screening element combines traditional ampli-tude modulation with frequency modulation, primarily in such a way that it uses positive ef-fects of both types of modulation in the low, middle and high screen values.
The research was conducted to exam the impact of hybrid screening element’s geometric and optical deformation on printing quality. The results of the screen element’s deformation val-ues were compared as they are directly linked to the gained quality and so they are correlated with the results of the subjective research. Densities of prints through whole circulation were analyzed by densitometric and spectrophotometric methods. The observed characteristics were valorized by scientific methods and presented by graphic overviews. New values of dot gain for screen elements in coldest were recommended. The impact of prevailing, recycled printing substrate on printing quality was determined.
Interlinking the results of measured (objective) and visual (subjective) analyses rendered pos-sible the definition of the criterion for reproduction quality. This criterion gained by research will set values for gaining higher reproduction quality.
