It is believed that paper was first produced in China in the 1st century BCE, and today its use is widespread around the world. Despite the digital age we live in, paper is a material that is still essential for printing, writing, packaging, and more. The basic materials used in paper production are fibers, with cellulose playing a major role, along with various additives. Paper production takes place on a paper machine. This process is closely monitored to anticipate difficulties in advance and achieve the desired quality. Due to increased consumption of raw materials for paper production, paper recycling has become an increasingly important practice in terms of nature and environmental conservation, financial savings, and energy efficiency. The entire paper recycling process is systematic and organized, and it is approached very seriously in order to improve the technological processes involved and achieve the best results. The study conducted tests on the general, mechanical, optical, and surface properties of commercially available recycled papers. Through these tests, their suitability for printing and packaging will be investigated, and their practical value will be determined considering that they can be recycled multiple times.
