Although digital photography is one of the recent technical developments, continuously increasing its quality and becoming more economical is the main reason of its availability and wide use. The subject of this final paper is printing digital photographs, which covers the whole process of printing. From transferring digital photographs into a computer, picture file format, postprocesing, color space management, to printer, ink and paper selection. With the help of colorimetric results demonstrating the dependence of print quality on the choice of printer and printing paper. It also seeks to indicate, with the help of guidelines, on what aspects need most attention to produce better quality and more realistic printing. The main advantage of digital over analog photography is the flexibility and the possibility of processing the picture after it was taken. In short guidelines it explains some useful tools in postprocessing of the image, which significantly affects the appearance and print quality of the photo. Also many problems are listed that can occur in the printing process such as selecting the wrong format, resolution or color balance, blurry images etc. Each problem is stated with a solution or a way to avoid it.
