Abstract
U prvom dijelu rada autor raspravlja o skeptičkim argumentima u pogledu mentalne bolesti, potom izlaže koncept mentalne bolesti Georgea Grahama. U drugom dijelu rada bavi se problemom moralne odgovornosti psihički bolesnih osoba razmatrajući konkretan slučaj osobe oboljele od shizofrenije koja je optužena za počinjeno kazneno djelo provale i nanošenja teških tjelesnih ozljeda. U razmatranju ovog slučaja autor se služi moralnom teorijom Johna Martina Fischera i Marka Ravizze. U središtu rasprave nalaze se implikacije pojedinih aspekata mentalne bolesti u pogledu procjene moralne odgovornosti.
Abstract (english)
In the first part of present thesis, the author discusses skeptical arguments concerning mental illness and lays down the concept of mental illness as exposed by George Graham. In the second part of the thesis, he takes upon the problem of moral responsibility of mentally ill persons by considering an individual case of a schizophrenic patient accused of committing two felonies (housebreaking and assault). In considering this case, the author makes use of the moral theory exposed by John Martin Fischer and Mark Ravizza. In the focus of his discussion are the implications of specific aspects of mental illness for assessing moral responsibility.
