Abstract
Da bi se film s opravdanjem pojmio kao medij filozofskog mišljenja, potrebno je odrediti što je film, propitati može li film biti medij, tj. prenositelj mišljenja u općenitom smislu te, potom, može li film kao medij mišljenja prenositi filozofsko mišljenje. Stoga je, pored uvoda i zaključka, tijelo ovog rada podijeljeno u tri temeljna dijela: „Ontološko određenje filma“, „Film kao medij mišljenja“, „Film i filozofija“. Prva dva dijela mogu se svrstati u tradicionalnu filozofiju filma, gdje je film u žarištu pažnje kao predmet istraživanja, a zadnji dio se tiče suvremenih rasprava o „filmskoj filozofiji“, tj. filozofskim mogućnostima samog filma. To implicira pretpostavku da je filozofija filma kao propitivanje medija filma osnova za daljnju raspravu o filozofskim mogućnostima filma, odnosno „filmu kao filozofiji“.
Abstract (english)
In order to justifiably conceptualize film as a medium of philosophical thought, it is necessary to determine what the film is, examine whether a film can be a medium, i.e. conveyor of thought in general sense, and, subsequently, whether the film as a medium of thought can convey a philosophical thought. Therefore, apart from the introduction and conclusion, the body of this paper is divided into three fundamental parts: „Ontological definition of film“, „Film as a medium of thought“, „Film and Philosophy“. The first two parts can be categorized into the traditional philosophy of film, where the film is in the focus of attention as a subject of investigation, and the last part is concerned with contemporary debates about the „cinematic philosophy“, i.e. philosophical possibilities of the film itself. This implies the assumption that the philosophy of film as an examination of a medium of film is the basis for further discussion on the philosophical possibilities of film, that is „film as philosophy“.
