The aim of this study was to examine is there a significant relationship between partners' strategies in interpersonal conflict and strategy content considering gender, duration of previous or current romantic relationship, experience related to previous or current romantic relationship, relationship quality, stability, satisfaction and subjective evaluation of partners communication competence. Participants were graduate students at the University of Zagreb that were in a romantic relationship when the study was conducted (N=100). Study was carried out in groups, within the regular classes. For the purposes of research we used the following instruments: The Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory–II (ROCI–II), the questionnaires of Relationship quality, Relationship stability, Communication in relationship. Findings are suggesting a statistically significant gender difference, considering duration of current romantic relationship and use of integrative way of resolving conflict in favor of women. Current relationships were evaluated more stable if a person already had the experience of long-term relationship and if a person already had the experience of longterm relationship he or she evaluated his or her partner less competent in their interpersonal communication. Finding are also suggesting lower to moderate correlation between relationship quality and stability which indicates that stability in relationship is determined with different social factors. Integrative way of resolving conflict, as a most efficient way of resolving conflict, turned out to be the best predictor of relationship quality while evasive way of resolving conflict, which is one of the destructive ways of solving conflicts, turned out to be the best predictor of relationship instability.
