Abstract Poduzetnicima se pripisuju brojni, a opet različiti atributi, a uz to poduzetništvo općenito ima
Odnosno,
radne vrijednosti i individualna poduzetnička orijentacija nisu objasnili dodatan postotak
varijance poduzetničkih namjera povrh spomenutih koncepata. Cjelokupan model je objasnio
75,3% varijance poduzetničkih namjera studenata. Dobiveni rezultati su donekle u skladu s
očekivanjima i u određenoj mjeri s postavljenim hipotezama.
Abstract (english) Entrepreneurs are often described with a number of different attributes, and in addition,
entrepreneurship generally has an important economic and social role, which is why it is not
surprising that there is an interest in studying entrepreneurial behavior and that efforts are made
to explain and predict how and why someone decides to become an entrepreneur. The aim of
this study was to predict entrepreneurial intentions of students based on concepts from Ajzen's
theory of planned behavior, entrepreneurship in the family, work values and individual
entrepreneurial orientation. The sample consisted of 320 students from different faculties in
Croatia, aged between 18 and 32, who completed an online questionnaire consisting of
sociodemographic characteristics, the Entrepreneurial Intentions Questionnaire, the Work
Values Questionnaire and the Individual Entrepreneurial Orientation Questionnaire. The results
suggested that the concepts from the theory of planned behavior are the best and only significant
predictors of entrepreneurial intentions, with marginal significance of another predictor -
entrepreneurship in the family. In other words, work values and individual entrepreneurial
orientation did not explain the additional variance of entrepreneurial intentions on top of the
mentioned concepts. The overall model explained 75.3% of the variance of entrepreneurial
intentions of students. The results are somewhat in line with expectations and to a lesser extent
with the proposed hypotheses. Despite the limitations of the research, the results confirm that
the model based on the theory of planned behavior is sufficient to explain enterpreneurial
intentions, and they provide insights into some new concepts that could contribute to better
understanding of entrepreneurial intentions and consequently entrepreneurial activity.
However, it is necessary to take into account recommendations for future research in this field,
particulary for application of longitudinal research designs.
