The fundamental goal of this paper is to describe and understand how sociology views societies within the digital world. To understand the Internet, it is first necessary to understand how the World Wide Web came about, how it became publicly available to the general public in a short period of time, how the digital society was gradually created. Likewise, the paper will explain how society has influenced the development of the Internet, which is appropriate as the impact of the Internet on change within modern societies. The paper will also clarify the phenomena of social networks as the place where most interactions on the Internet take place. In addition, the paper will include an analysis of social networks, how they are used and what impact they have on the daily life of the individual. In addition, the paper will explain why the Internet is an important subject for sociology: how interactions among members of society change (interactionswith loved ones but also the emergence of interactions with people who are not within our spatial reach) and how new spheres develop becomes an integral part of an individual’s daily life) within the lives of people connected to the Internet. Finally, Internet societies will be clarified in the theoretical framework of George Herbert Mead and Manuell Castells, two sociologists who are very important in understanding the microsociological and macrosociological elements of digital society and how it interacts among its members. Therefore, this paper will try to clarify one of the most popular media and its importance for sociology.
