Abstract
U ovom diplomskom radu bavit ćemo se nacističkom medijskom propagandom, i to isključivo putem radija. Dakle, temom kako su nacisti tijekom Drugog svjetskog rata koristili radio da bi širili svoju ideologiju, kontrolirali mase, usaĎivali strah neprijateljima te širili laţna obećanja i nadu Nijemcima. Nacisti su radio prepoznali kao savršen medij za širenje svojih ideja te su, kako bi bili sigurni da ga svaki Nijemac unutar granica Trećeg Reicha, ali i izvan, posjeduje, čak besplatno dijelili radijske prijemnike. Središnja ličnost nacističke radijske propagande svakako je Joseph Goebbels, koji je, suraĎujući s Adolfom Hitlerom, zasigurno u velikoj mjeri utjecao na tijek rata. Budući da su nacisti radijem u potpunosti kontrolirali njemački narod te nerijetko širili dezinformacije, mnogi Nijemci su slušali strane radijske postaje, što je u listopadu 1939. godine proglašeno kaznenim djelom i zločinom protiv nacionalne sigurnosti. Politička se radijska propaganda provodila posvuda: na ulicama njemačkih gradova, u tvornicama i pivnicama, a u vrijeme emitiranja morala je vladati tišina te se nije smjelo napustiti radno mjesto dok radijska emisija nije završila. TakoĎer, oštećeni radijski prijemnici odmah su se morali popraviti ili zamijeniti, a za je sve to bila zaduţena Radijska straţa. Goebbels je, naime, za radio govorio da je njegova uloga u Drugom svjetskom ratu bila skoro jednako vaţna kao i uloga vojnih zrakoplova.
Abstract (english)
This thesis will deal with Nazi propaganda through the media, particulary on the radio. During World War II, the Nazis used the radio to spread their ideology, in order to control the masses, to plant the fear among enemies and to spread false promises and hope to the Germans. The Nazis recognized the radio as the perfect media for spreading their ideas and, to make sure that every German within the boundaries of the Third Reich and outside has a radio receiver, they even distributed free radio receivers to all the Germans who couldn't afford them. The central figure of the Nazi radio propaganda was certainly Joseph Goebbels, who, working with Adolf Hitler, greatly influenced the course of the War. Since the Nazis completely controlled the German people and often spread misinformation, many Germans listened to the foreign radio stations, which was, in October 1939, declared a criminal offense and a crime against national security. Political radio propaganda was conducted everywhere: on the streets of German cities, factories and breweries. During the broadcast, silence was mandatory and it was forbidden to leave the workplace until the radio show was finished. Also, damaged radio receivers immediately had to be repaired or replaced, which was supervised by the Radio Guard. Goebbels said that the role of the radio in the Second World War was almost as important as the role of military aircraft.
