Abstract Ovim istraživanjem nastojali su se utvrditi stavovi psihologa i psihoterapeuta o praćenju
procesa i evaluaciji ishoda savjetovanja i psihoterapije s obzirom na teorijsko usmjerenje
odnosno psihoterapijski pravac. Također, nastojalo se utvrditi jesu li profesionalne
karakteristike: godine staža u individualnoj psihoterapiji/savjetovanju, broj aktivnih
sociodemografska pitanja, „Upitnik praćenja procesa terapije“, „Upitnik evaluacije
ishoda terapije“ te otvoreno pitanje o prednostima i nedostacima praćenja, evaluacije
ishoda i/ili praćenja procesa.
Rezultati su pokazali kako su psiholozi i psihoterapeuti kognitivno-bihevioralnog
teorijskog usmjerenja otvoreniji prema korištenju standardiziranih instrumenta u svrhu
evaluacije ishoda terapije, u odnosu na psihologe i psihoterapeute geštalt usmjerenja.
Nadalje, rezultati pokazuju kako psiholozi i psihoterapeuti s prethodnim iskustvom
psihoterapiju i prijašnje iskustvo u praćenju terapije zajedno značajno doprinose
objašnjavanju 19.4% varijance stava prema praćenju procesa i 24.6% varijance stava
prema evaluaciji ishoda terapije. Pritom, prethodno iskustvo se pokazao kao značajni
prediktor s najvećim prognostičkim udjelom. Dobiveni rezultati nude novi okvir za
nastavak istraživanja stava prema evaluaciji ishoda i stava prema praćenju procesa
terapije u Republici Hrvatskoj.
Abstract (english) This study aimed to determine attitudes toward process and outcome monitoring among
Croatian psychologists and psychotherapists regarding theoretical/psychotherapy
orientation. The second aim was to determine whether years of working as an individual
counselor/psychotherapist, workload as in a number of active patients or clients, finished
psychotherapy education and training, and previous experience with monitoring systems
were predictors of attitude towards process and outcome monitoring.
The survey was conducted on 94, 83 female and 11 male, psychologists and
psychotherapists who are currently working in individual counseling/psychotherapy in
Croatia. Data was collected through an online survey comprising general
sociodemographic questions, questions concerning professional characteristics, an
Outcome Monitoring Questionnaire, a Process Monitoring Questionnaire, and an open
question about the advantages and disadvantages of monitoring therapy.
The results showed that psychologists and psychotherapists significantly differ in their
theoretical orientation. Cognitive behavioral psychologists and psychotherapists manifest
better attitudes toward outcome monitoring than gestalt psychologists and
psychotherapists. What is more, psychologists and psychotherapists with previous
experience with monitoring systems and those who completed psychotherapy education
expressed more positive attitudes towards process and outcome monitoring. Also, 19.4%
of the variance in attitude towards process and 24.6% of the variance in attitude towards
outcome monitoring were significantly predicted by a group of professional
characteristics: years of working as an individual counselor/psychotherapist, workload as
in a number of active patients or clients, finished psychotherapy education and training
and previous experience with monitoring systems. Among those characteristics, previous
experience with monitoring systems stood out as the only predictor with the largest
standardized regression coefficient. Results offer new insights for continuing research on
psychologists' and psychotherapists' attitudes toward process and outcome monitoring in
Croatia.
