Abstract
Generacija Z jest generacija mladih rođenih od 1995. do 2010. godine, a njihov je život u potpunosti obilježen internetom i društvenim mrežama. Pojavom interneta, generacija Z gubi pojam o komunikaciji „licem u lice“. Tijekom stvaranja i razvoja svojih virtualnih identiteta na internetu i društvenim mrežama, bili su pokretači i usvojitelji velikih jezičnih promjena koje nam se danas čine sasvim normalne. Od anglizama, skraćenica, žargonizama do emotikona, memova, hashtagova čije korištenje je uvelike olakšalo komunikaciju i korištenje interneta i društvenih mreža. Jezične promjene na koje oni utječu i kojima se koriste, često su nepoznate starijima. Oni su sposobni pomno pratiti sve promjene u jeziku koje se brzo mijenjaju, a vrlo brzo i prihvaćaju nove promjene zbog kojih stare ponekad odlaze u zaborav. Zajednice koje formiraju imaju individualna jezična obilježja, a time žele zadržati svoju jedinstvenost kako se obilježja ne bi miješala s ostalim zajednicama koje imaju drugačije interese i potrebe.
Abstract (english)
Generation Z is the generation of young people born from 1995 to 2010, and their lives are completely marked by the Internet and social networks. With the appearance of the Internet, generation Z loses the concept of face-to-face communication. During the creation and development of their virtual identities on the Internet and social networks, they were the initiators and adopters of major language changes that seem quite normal to us today. From anglicisms, abbreviations, jargonisms to emoticons, memes, hashtags, the use of which has greatly facilitated communication and the use of the Internet and social networks. The language changes that they influence and use are often unknown to the elderly. They are capable of closely following all the changes in the language that change rapidly and very quickly they accept new changes, due to which the old ones sometimes go into oblivion. The communities they form have individual linguistic characteristics, and thus they want to maintain their uniqueness so that the characteristics do not mix with other communities that have different interests and needs.
