Abstract
Cilj ovog preglednog rada bio je ispitati, sustavno prikazati i kritički sagledati učinkovitost intervencijskih programa podrške za reintegraciju maligno oboljele djece u školski sustav. Osim toga, prikazati na koje aspekte funkcioniranja sudionika djeluje njihova provedba te ispitati trenutni tijek istraživanja u ovom području u Republici Hrvatskoj. Među dostupnim radovima preko servisa Google Scholar i EBSCO baza i pomno odabranih ključnih riječi identificirano je i u ovom preglednom radu detaljno analizirano pet intervencijskih studija eksperimentalnog, kvazi eksperimentalnog, kvalitativnog i deskriptivnog tipa. Uzorak odabranih istraživanja odnosi se na djecu školske dobi, raspona godina od 5-18 s malignim oboljenjima koja uključuju, leukemiju, limfome te ostale tumorske izrasle osim tumora na mozgu. Intervencijski programi podrške pokazali su se učinkovitima kako kod oboljelih, tako i kod obitelji, školskog i medicinskog osoblja i vršnjaka. Učitelji i vršnjaci pokazuju povećano znanje o malignim bolestima, roditelji oboljelog značajno smanjeni strah od zadirkivanja i snalaženja u školi te smanjenje problema u ponašanju oboljelog. Oboljela djeca izvještavaju o smanjenju straha od odbačenosti od vršnjaka i manju socijalnu izoliranost. U Republici Hrvatskoj identificiran je jedan projekt u sklopu udruge Krijesnica namijenjen maligno oboljelog djeci i njihovim vršnjacima. Rezultati detaljne analize odabranih radova su kritički sagledani u smjeru onoga što je potrebno mijenjati te su dati prijedlozi za buduća istraživanja.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this review was to examine, sistematically display and critically assess the effectiveness of school re-entry interventions for children with cancer conditions. The review also discusses wich aspects of children behavior were affected and summarizes all research made in the Republic of Croatia. Electronic and data search engines (Google schoolar, EBSCO) were used along with keywords to detect and collect studies and papers. The sample of five selected intervention studies relates to school-age children, ranging from 5-18 years old with malignant diseases, which include leukemias, lymphomas and other tumors, excluding children with brain cancer conditions. Interventions programmes showed positive impact on children with cancer and other malignant conditions, also showing positive effects on their parents, peers, school and medicine staff. Teachers and peers of ill children had more knowledge on malignant diseases, while their parents showed less fear from being teased. Syptomatic children had significally less fear of rejection by their peers and also from being socially isolated. In Croatia, there has been identified one project for ill children and peers designed by an association that cares about children with malignant disease and their families. This selected papers were critically analyzed and commented with highlights and suggestions for next research in this area.
