Abstract
U ovom je diplomskom radu prikazana povijest franjevačkoga djelovanja na prostoru Provincije Bosne Srebrne s naglaskom na razdoblje turske vladavine. Osim toga, kroz njihovo je djelovanje opisana ključna uloga koju su odigrali kada je u pitanju očuvanje hrvatske kulture. Njihova briga za jezik, ali i za duhovno bogaćenje katolika u teškim vremenima pokazala se kao inspiracija našem velikom književniku i nobelovcu Ivi Andriću. Ivo Andrić je kao veliki zaljubljenik i pasionirani proučavatelj franjevačkih kronika, nekrologija, spisa, ali i živih fratarskih priča u svoje stvaralaštvo uklopio i temu bosanskoga franciskanizma. Kao prototipe franjevaca, Andrić je kreirao literarne likove fra Marka, fra Petra, ali i fra Grge, fra Serafina i fra Luke koji su portretirani tako da se na slikovit način vidi što su zapravo bosanski franjevci značili svojim vjernicima i svome puku. Kroz Andrićevo bavljenje temom franjevaštva dobivamo povijesno, ali i umjetnički vrijednu ostavštinu koja nas uvijek i iznova treba podsjećati na važnost bosanskih franjevaca u kontekstu hrvatske kulture.
Abstract (english)
This thesis represents history of franciscan activity in Province Bosna Argentina, with accent on epoch of the Ottoman rule. Through their activity it is visible how crucial their role was when it comes to preservation of Croatian culture. Their care for literature and language, but more for the spiritual enrichment in very hard times was an inspiration for literar work to the great writer and Nobel prize winner Ivo Andrić. He was passionate reader of old franciscan's chronicles, necrologues, scriptures as well as he used to have a conversation with living friars. All material he gathered he used to create his literary friars: fra Marko, fra Petar, fra Grga, fra Serafin and fra Luka. Through their caracterization is shown, in picturesque way, how much they meant to their people. Ivo Andrić and his franciscan cycle is worth historical and artistic legacy that needs to remind us all over and over again of the importance of bosnian friars in the context of Croatian culture.
