Abstract
Jedanaest uzoraka meteorita nađenih na području RH i BIH prvi puta su analizirani, i to metodama poliranja i nagrizanja ferikloridom (PN), rentgenske difrakcije na prahu (XRD) i tehnikom induktivno spregnute plazme s atomskom emisijskom spektroskopijom (ICP – AES). Cilj diplomskoga rada bio je utvrditi kvalitativan i kvantitativan sastav odabranih uzoraka, te pokušati odrediti strukturne i kemijske tipove željeznih meteorita kojima uzorci pripadaju, a hipoteza je bila da su makroelementi u uzorcima željezo i nikal, da se nalaze u različitim omjerima te da svi uzorci sadrže iridij. Ustanovljeno je da su u svim uzorcima makroelementi željezo i nikal, u omjeru 1 : 1, te da svi uzorci sadrže iridij, iako u 100 puta većoj koncentraciji no što je poznato za druge meteorite. Većina analiziranih uzoraka pripada strukturnom tipu ataksita, dok se kemijski tip pojedinog uzorka nije mogao sa sigurnošću utvrditi zbog nemogućnosti mjerenja koncentracije siderofilnih elemenata galija, germanija i zlata, a koji su parametri za kemijsku klasifikaciju siderita.
Abstract (english)
For the first time eleven meteorite samples, some found or recently fallen on the territory of Croatia and some in Bosnia and Herzegovina, were analyzed by three techniques: polishing and etching by ferric chloride (PN), X – ray powder diffractometry (XRD) and inductively coupled plasma with atomic emission spectrometry (ICP – AES). The goal of this work was to determine qualitative and quatitative composition of chosen meteorite samples, and to attribute structural and chemical groups of iron meteorites if possible. The hypothesis was that samples contain iron and nickel as macroelements in different ratios and that all of them contain irridium. Analyses have shown that all eleven samples contain iron and nickel as macroelements in one to one ratio and that all of them contain irridium, although in thousand times bigger amount compared with other meteorites. Most samples that have been analysed belong to the structural group of ataxite, while chemical groups could not be established with certainty due to impossibillity of measuring amounts of siderophile elements like gallium, gold and germanium, which are main parameters for the chemical classification of iron meteorites.
