Abstract (english) | The primary objective of this study is to determine whether biathletes with higher levels of aerobic or energy capacity achieve better results in specific tests. The secondary objective was to identify differences between male and female biathletes. Testing was conducted at the Srebrnjak Children's Hospital Srebrnjak in the scientific research department. All subjects, before joining the test, performed laboratory tests and were found to have no restrictions on the performance of the specific test. Field testing was done in Mrkopalj on the state road Mrkopalj - Begovo Razdolje. The study involved 10 experienced biathlon athletes, 5 athletes and 5 female athletes. Average practicing a sport is 5 ± 3 years, the height of the biathletes is 180.20 ± 4.87 cm, the weight is 70.80 ± 5.45 kg and the BMI is 21.72 ± 0.82 kgm-2 while the height of the female biathletes is 169 ± 5.81 cm. weight 60.40 ± 5.18 kg and BMI 20.97 ± 0.72 kgm-2. By performing the test on the trademill, we obtained the following data for all subjects together: maximum oxygen uptake (VO2max) = 3.68 ± 0.79 lO2/min, relative maximum oxygen uptake (RVO2max) = 55.64 ± 7.32 mlO2/kg/min, maximum running speed (vMax ) = 17.99 ± 1.80 km/h, relative oxygen uptake at anaerobic threshold (RVO2 AnP) = 52.12 ± 6.33 mlO2/kg/min, maximum heart rate (Fsmax) = 196.80 ± 9.90 o/min, heart rate at anaerobic threshold ( FsAnp) = 191.80 ± 9.20 o/min and anaerobic threshold (vAnp) = 16.69 ± 1.78 km/h. Specific tests performed on a track of 1 kilometer steady ascent yielded the following results: push race = 293.90 ± 50.50 s, skate race = 265.00 ± 52.35s. Analyzing the results we have come to the conclusion that there is a significant correlation between energy capacities and results in specific tests and that there is a difference between biathletes and female biathletes. |
